The Ship’s Log app for iPhone is a wonderful on-the-go tool for any boater. This app allows you to easily share and document your boating experiences. I’ve personally had the chance to try out this app, and I think it’s great. When you first download the app, by clicking here to open iTunes, you will be prompted to log in or create an account. Once you’re in, you select your type of boat and fill in a bit of information on said boat. Of course, the app wouldn’t get it’s name if it didn’t have a log to jot down notes and reminders. You can also add pictures directly from your iPhone into the logs, along with your current location, date and time.

Did I mention the app is free? Oh, well it is. I find that this app is extra useful for those trying to sell their boats, because you can gather detailed info and add in factors like weather, location, and other conditions that people should know about before buying said boats. I can’t stress enough how detailed this app really gets, and yet how simple it is to use. I highly recommend it for boaters looking for precision and accuracy. And besides, once again, it’s free!
